SEO auditing may sound alien to some, but it’s really quite simple to understand. An SEO audit is the process of evaluating the search engine friendliness of a website in many areas, on-page SEO and off-page SEO. Usually, there will be a checklist, and an SEO audit will pick up on the factors that need to be fixed. Understanding these factors and how they work (or do not work), is crucial to identifying a site’s strengths and weaknesses, and unlocking any potential. By making the recommended changes, a website’s performance will usually improve.

The world of SEO is constantly changing. Google can release an algorithm at any given time, and what used to be best practice can become a thing of the past. It’s, therefore, necessary to perform regular SEO audits on your website, so you can keep on top of the latest SEO trends. Staying knowledgeable of your website can seem time consuming, and so, hiring an SEO Auditing professional is ideal. Not only does it free up your time, but they understand the industry and give you the best advice, we offer this service as a stand alone SEO auditing service or within a managed SEO campaign.

Benefits of SEO Auditing

Keeps You Ahead of the Competition – An SEO audit of your website means you can stay ahead of your competition. Digital marketing is all well and good, and you could have the most beautiful website known to man, but if you’re missing that one key element, your success can dwindle. Additionally, if there’s something your website is missing, but your competitor is using, you’ll be able to determine what that is.

Better Online Visibility – Increase your domain and online visibility by learning the correct SEO strategy for your business, industry and company goals. By implementing an SEO audit, you can figure the SEO your website is lacking. You may find huge holes in your SEO or small simple fixes. Either way, an audit will be able to determine the next (and right) course of action for your business.

Problems Will Be Irradiated – You’ll understand the current health of your website, and unearth any issues that may be detrimental to the well-being of your website. These issues, if left undiscovered, can cause your online visibility to plummet, regardless of how effective your marketing strategy has been in the past.

Additionally, unearthing such issues means you can put a plan in place (devised by an SEO professional), and improve your business’s traffic, sales, conversions and Google ranking.

Strengths Will Be Highlighted – Audits can, most notably, tell you what is wrong with your website. However, it isn’t all doom and gloom. An audit can also tell you what your website (and your company) is doing right. If you know what makes your website tick, you can then determine the aspects you shouldn’t change. Sometimes, if one element of a website doesn’t work, a whole website reboot can be offered as a remedy. This is not the case, and should only be recommended in dire circumstances. As an audit can tell you both your strengths and weakness, you can point out the aspects that need updating or changing. You can leave what is good well alone.
