Pageviews (Impressions)

Metrics

The term Pageview is used to describe the amount of traffic to a website. It’s a common metric used by advertisers and marketers to determine the changing levels of visitor traffic entering and exploring a website.

Pageviews represent the total number of times that webpages were viewed by site visitors over a determined period of time. Most Pageview measuring software will allow the user to set the time period manually in order to compare traffic levels over time. Pageviews will not give an accurate representation of individual visitors to a website, given that one visitor can view multiple pages in one sitting.
