302 Redirect

NavigationServer Responses

A 302 Redirect message is an instruction given to a web server that requests it to redirect browser traffic from one URL to a different URL. Webmasters typically use the 302 Redirect message when they’re temporarily relocating content to a different page of a website, or if they’re temporarily moving domain name.

If a webmaster believes that the content being moved will be permanently moved, they will usually use the 301 Redirect message. These messages help Google bots understand the nature of relationships between sites being redirected onto. According to Google, these redirect messages pass on link equity to the new URL that web users are redirected onto.
