For years, people have had this need to learn more about the world around them, from cultures to rich history. Before the internet and Google search existed, the way people discovered such information was very different. Some people didn’t even have access to a library and had to accept that they would be unable to learn more. Now it takes less than a second to find this information. A search engine is a remarkable thing in our life, but have ever wondered how Google Search works?

If so, you aren’t alone. Many people through the years have asked that very same question. Well, you don’t need to question this anymore. Google released a video a couple of weeks ago about how Google Search works.

It is called “Trillions of Questions, No Easy Answers: A (home) Movie about how Google Search Works,” and it lives up to its name. Engaging from start to finish, the Google Movie makes for a fascinating watch for those interested in SEO, businesses looking to appear in the search, as well as people who use Google as it was intended: to discover information.

Topics in the Movie

With interviews with Google employees, like Ben Gomes, Cathy Edwards, Jeff Dean, and more, the hour-length movie details the challenges in Google Search and the growth that came as they began to develop the software we now use almost daily. You can discover how, despite being a complex piece of software, organization is the key.

Going into more detail than the previous short video they released last year on how Google Search works, you can learn how the different servers rank the pages for each keyword entered, all based on a lasagna example.

Not only that, but you get an insight into behind the scenes and how you get the experience you do every single time, from the biggest change to search, rankings, interface, to evaluations, and so much more.

As curious minds always wanting to know more about the world, learning about how we gain all this information makes this movie a must-see. You can watch Google’s movie here.
