Knowledge Graph

AlgorithmsMobile SEOOff-pageSEOSEO History

First launched in 2012, Google’s Knowledge Graph is a huge database containing structured, accessible data about everything from celebrities and tourist attractions to furniture and fruit. Google believes that this structured base of knowledge helps its other programmes understand real-world things.

Google’s Knowledge Graph also features connections between objects, things and places, so that Google’s programmes can understand relationships between different entries in the database.

For marketers, the Knowledge Graph is regarded as important because it’s the source of data displayed in the Google Knowledge Panel and in other search engine results. As such, featuring prominently in the Knowledge Graph can significantly boost a website’s SEO performance.
