Our awesome team are here ready to strap a rocket to your digital marketing campaigns, so what are you waiting for?

Trade Door Handles is a UK retailer specialising in door handles, locks, hinges and other architectural hardware.

When they came to us, their website was underperforming in search and lacked the organic visibility needed to reach more potential customers.

Just 9 of its 340 target keywords ranked in Google’s Top 3, while only 47 (14%) had made it onto Page 1.

Competition was strong too. Larger retailers had much stronger backlink profiles, so simply building more links wasn’t enough. We needed to make sure the client’s budget was being focused on the pages with the most potential.

By taking a more targeted approach to Blogger Outreach, we helped organic revenue grow by 133% year on year between June and September 2026, while organic traffic increased by 390%.

Case Study Overview

  • Organic revenue increased by 133% year on year
  • £9,654.51 in additional organic sales
  • Organic traffic increased by 390% year on year
  • Top 3 rankings increased from 9 to 48
  • Page 1 rankings increased from 47 to 123
  • 50 Blogger Outreach links delivered over six months

A Big Visibility Gap to Close

At the start of the campaign, most of Trade Door Handles’ important keywords were struggling to get near Page 1.

“Door handles”, which gets around 60,500 searches a month, ranked at position 69. “Interior door handles” sat at position 32, while other valuable searches weren’t ranking in the Top 100 at all.

The website also had a Domain Rating of 13. One of its biggest competitors had a DR of 53, giving us a sizeable authority gap to close.

The Objectives That Steered Campaign Performance

  • Improve rankings for valuable commercial searches
  • Increase Page 1 and Top 3 visibility
  • Strengthen the site’s backlink profile
  • Grow organic traffic to key collection pages
  • Generate more revenue through organic search

Focusing Links on the Biggest Opportunities

Rather than spreading links evenly across the website, we identified the pages with the most to gain.

We moved links away from pages already ranking in positions 1–4 and focused more of the campaign on commercial collections with stronger search potential.

Across six months, we delivered 50 Blogger Outreach links: 10 DR30, 20 DR40 and 20 DR50 placements. The stronger links were prioritised for the pages where they could make the biggest difference.

Campaign Results & Growth Wins

  • Organic revenue: Revenue from organic search reached £16,915.42 between June and September 2026, up from £7,260.91 during the same period in 2025. That’s a 133% increase and an extra £9,654.51 in sales.
  • Organic traffic: Sessions increased from 3,466 to 16,979, representing 390% year-on-year growth.
  • Top 3 rankings: Keywords in positions 1–3 increased from 9 to 48.
  • Page 1 rankings: Page 1 visibility grew from 47 to 123 keywords.
  • Domain Rating: The site’s DR also increased by one point during the campaign.

Making Every Link Work Harder

By looking at rankings, search demand, and the potential of individual pages, we could focus the client’s budget where it had the best chance of improving visibility.

And the impact went beyond rankings. Organic traffic grew by 390% year on year, while organic revenue increased by 133%.

These are overall keyword rankings, not the ranking results for the keywords the client prioritised.

Final Thoughts

Trade Door Handles started with only 9 Top 3 rankings and a much weaker backlink profile than some of its biggest competitors.

By taking a more targeted approach to Blogger Outreach, we’ve since helped increase Top 3 rankings to 48 and Page 1 rankings to 123.

Most importantly, organic search generated an additional £9,654.51 in revenue between June and September 2026, representing 133% year-on-year growth.
